I'm New

New to the area? New to faith? Coming back after some time away?
No matter where you are on your journey or what season of life you’re in, we want you to know—you are welcome here at New Hope Leeward!
Our mission is simple:
We exist to love God, reflect His light, and change the world.

-
We love God by diving into His Word and living it out daily.
-
We reflect His light by building authentic relationships through small groups.
-
We change the world by serving others, just as Jesus did—both inside and outside the church walls.

You belong here!

What to expect on the weekend.
Warm and Welcoming
Expect to be greeted with smiles, hugs (possibly several!), and a love that reflects the way Christ loves us. At our church, you’ll see a beautiful mix of people: locals with tattoos, military families, newcomers to the island, and everyone in between—young and old, from all walks of life.
Authentic Worship
Worship at New Hope Leeward isn’t a performance or a spectator event; it’s an opportunity for us to open our eyes to the God who has been with us all week. Our worship team leads us with a modern style, blending fresh hits, timeless favorites from years past, and hymns that have stood the test of time. There’s truly something for everyone!
Messages
We approach our Sunday messages with a healthy balance. Our sermons are rooted in Scripture, designed to engage believers, while also using humor, stories, and illustrations to connect with seekers. They are hopeful because that’s at the heart of the Gospel, but also truthful, because love always speaks honestly. Our messages are deep, yet accessible to all. And here's the one thing we stand by: Sermons shouldn’t be long—25 to 35 minutes is the sweet spot!
Kids Ministry
Our New Hope Kids team has created a safe, nurturing environment where your keiki, from infants to 5th grade, can experience and grow in Christ. We don’t see them as the “next generation” — we believe God has a purpose for them right now. If you’d rather keep your kids with you during service, that’s perfectly fine! We also have an overflow room where you can view the service.

Common Questions

• When and where is service?
94-050 Farrington Hwy in the Waipahu Town Center on the Longs side near Koa Pancake House.
• Can I watch online?
Absolutely! In fact we encourage it. Much of our ‘ohana attends in person or online depending on their schedule that week. Every service is live streamed, and if you miss it you can watch it back anytime!
• What about my kids?
Our team of background checked and trained staff and volunteers create a safe, warm, and inviting atmosphere for your keiki (infant to 5th grade) to grow into who Christ has created them to be. Have kids a little older? Our Leeward Youth, Jr. High and High school students join us in service and gather together for their own service on Friday nights at 6:30pm!
• What should I wear?
Whatever you like! On a typical Sunday morning you will see clothing that ranges from business casual to “I just came from the beach” (shorts and slippers).
• How long is the service?
Typically an hour to an hour and 10 mins (depends on how long-winded our Pastor is).
• What denomination are you?
Foursquare. Our theology, approach, and services match most mainline Pentecostal churches in the U.S. with a couple distinctives. To read more of what Foursquare believes click HERE.
