One Simple Invitation

As we wrapped up our Gospel series this weekend, I wanted to leave you with one final encouragement.
For many of us, sharing our faith can feel daunting. Our minds immediately go to debating strangers, knocking on doors, or answering questions we don't know the answer to. It's no wonder so many of us avoid it.
But there are many different ways to share the Gospel. Sometimes sharing the Gospel looks like serving in church, sitting with someone who's hurting, praying for them, meeting a need, inviting a friend to church, or simply telling them what God has done in your life.
The Gospel is often expressed before it is preached.
Jesus said:
"You are the light of the world... let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16, NIV)
Notice Jesus doesn't tell us to become street preachers. He simply tells us to let our light shine. As we love people, serve them, and live out our faith, our lives point others to Him.
That sounds a lot like our vision:
Love God. Reflect His Light. Change the World.
As we love God, His light shines through us. As we reflect His light, we become part of how He changes the world; often one conversation, one act of kindness, and one invitation at a time.
Which brings me to next weekend...
We begin a brand-new series called Seasons.
In this series we'll study the highs and lows of King David and discover that God is faithful in every season.
Everyone is in a season of something right now. Some are celebrating. Some are grieving. Some are waiting. Some are wondering if God still sees them. David experienced every one of those seasons, and through them all we see God's faithfulness.
This is a great series to invite someone to.
So here's your challenge this week:
Pray for one person.
Invite one person.
Trust God with the rest.
See you this weekend!
