Just Jump Braddah (or Sistah)!

Aloha Leeward family,

I was about 10 years old when my older brother took me to jump off Waimea Rock on the North Shore.

I had jumped off Waikiki Walls before—so how much bigger could it really be?

A LOT bigger.

Three times the height. About 30 feet.

I climbed to the top and looked down. Thirty feet might as well have been miles.

No matter how much I wanted to jump, my feet felt frozen to the rock—while the rock was literally burning my feet.

A line started forming behind me.

A girl younger than me did a flip.

Still, I couldn’t move.

Then I heard a voice behind me, calm and confident:

“Just jump, braddah.”

Not angry. Not impatient. Just matter-of-fact.

Like this wasn’t the first haole he had coached off the rock.

So I jumped-- not just once but 100 times that day.

As we talk about going deeper in our faith in 2026, that’s my encouragement to you:

Just jump, braddah (or sista).

The water’s warm. Life is beautiful.

And there’s a good God with a great purpose waiting for you.

You just have to be willing to jump.

Listed below are three ways you can take that step—depending on where you are in your journey.

Just jump braddah (or sista).

With love,
